課程概述 |
This is a world of visual images, and with the fast development of the new media and social communication technologies we are surrounded by increasingly sophisticated visual images. This course provides a basic mapping and learning of the skills to the understanding, interpretation, and communication of visual images while we begin our discovery and exploration of the significances of a modern visual world. |

課程目標 |
In response to rapid changes in the emerging interdisciplinary field of visual culture, this course would like to provide a general yet brief mapping of the contemporary world of visual culture. Various articles and masterpieces on visuality and visual culture will be read in this course to help familiarize the students with the development of visual culture studies and also introduce to them the wealth of visual forms and critical analyses in this fast expanding field.
